  5. An invoice-matching system with on-line query resolution which runs on
  6. mainframe and UNIX-based equipment and can link directly to existing purchase
  7. and general ledger and branch charging systems. Data capture is via manual
  8. entry or EDI. Document matching brings together documents with matching
  9. references. Invoices whose values fall within pre-determined tolerance limits
  10. are automatically passed to the user's purchase ledger system for payment. If
  11. DIDOS cannot clear an invoice automatically the on-line query resolution
  12. facility allows staff to investigate, make corrections and clear invoices for
  13. payment on-screen, on-line. Management reporting facilities provide information
  14. on document-matching performance over time and also by supplier and location.
